If you would like to accept Jesus and put your faith in Him,
you may do so by expressing this desire in your own words to God in prayer.
If you feel the need for some guidance in how to express such feelings
in prayer, the following example may be helpful:
"Dear God, I do want to put my trust in Jesus to save me. I've
tried to figure out and straighten out my life on my own long enough.
It hasn't worked very well. I know that I need help. I don't
know everything that this commitment may mean at this point, but I want
to get started on a life with Jesus. As best I know how, I do put
my trust in Him, believing that He will help me. Please take my life
and lead me to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus. I want the
salvation You offer me. Thank You. In Jesus name, Amen."
We recommend that you begin prayerfully reading the
Bible, beginning with the story of Jesus as recorded in the gospels–Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John. Read some each day. As you do, God will
be leading you into an understanding of His will for you.
