Naturally SinfulOne need not be theologically astute to recognize that human nature, left entirely to itself, is extremely self-centered and set on protecting it's own self interests, to the detriment of others if necessary. If a little child grew up being given everything he desired, with no restraints whatsoever, would he turn out a well adjusted adult focused on the needs of others around him, or so selfish as to be hard to live with and a pain to be around? That's not a terribly hard one to figure out, is it? |
