Nostradamus

Though he's been dead for 400 years, Nostradamus (his name means "our lady", a reference to the mother of Jesus) may still today be the most famous and world renown psychic.

Short, energetic, with a dark beard and kindly eyes, Michel de Nostradame practiced medicine in St. Remy in southern France.  He became known for his bravery and compassion, fearlessly serving cities under the ravages of the bubonic plague.  He was also noted for his generosity to the poor.

While most of his predictions never came true, he was catapulted to fame and popular notice when his prediction of how the king of France and his sons would die apparently came true, making a believer out of the Queen.

His nearly 1000 mysterious four-line prophetic rhymes called quatrains are now poured over by enthusiasts the world over.  He "received" these prophecies while sitting alone in a darkened room at night, gazing at the water in a bowl hanging from a brass tripod.  He touched the water with a wand, dampened his robe, then stared at the water's surface until his eyes would begin to "see" future events shadowed there.

Would you be interested in seeing an example of a Nostradamus prophecy?
