Responding to God
In our web presentation "The Truth of the Spotted Leopard" which can be accessed from our home page, we discuss what's involved in having a relationship with God. That relationship can begin or be renewed this very moment. You can tell God that you want Him to be the first priority in your life. At the moment you may not have much of a clue as to what that involves. But a good place to start is simply to tell God that you want to live a more God-honoring life than you sense you may have been living. The language you use to talk to God should be your own and should express how you really feel. And if you're not certain how you really feel, just begin talking to God, He can help you learn to understand your feelings and express them. |

The beauty of it is, God is waiting for you, so it's not hard to enter into a relationship with Him. Tell Him that you want a relationship with Him, and ask for His help. He loves to respond to that kind of prayer. Then get a Bible. We recommend that you get a modern translation Bible. There's lots of good ones. And begin reading in the New Testament to start with. Don't try to over analyze what you read. Just read, and talk to God about the parts you understand. The parts you don't understand at first will come later. Be patient. That's how you begin. And the good news is, once you've begun, then you're ready should Jesus return suddenly. And as you continue to grow in the relationship with God, by reading the Bible and responding to God about what you read, He will be continually preparing you for Jesus' return with each step you take on your life's journey. And as a consequence, your life will become a beacon of blessing to
others. Which is a primary purpose of our lives on this earth.
