You Can be Assured
Preparing for Jesus' return is a daily matter. Each day we can
commit our lives to Him in prayer, ask for His strength to live according
to His will for us as best we understand it, and then seek through a study
of the Bible and Christian fellowship to grow in our relationship with
Him. That may seem like a lot at first, but it can begin now with
a simple prayer of commitment, or recommitment, to God. If you have
never prayed such a prayer and don't know how to start, here is a sample
prayer you could pray right now.
"Dear God, I do want to be ready for Jesus to come. I do not want
His coming to catch me unexpectedly or as a thief. Forgive me for
my sins against You, against others, against myself. Send Your Holy
Spirit to enlighten me to know Your will and empower me to do it.
I need You. And I want You. In Jesus name, Amen."
