InvitationWould you like to accept God's invitation to experience a deep and lasting peace that nothing could take away from you? This simple prayer of acceptance is one way to get started:"Lord, I am searching for peace. You know the particular circumstances of my life and what my prayer for peace means. I thank You for the eternal love that You have expressed to me in Jesus Christ. I thank You that You were willing to take the chastisement of my peace upon You to make it possible for me to experience a lasting and ultimate peace. I'm beginning to understand that having a peace at the deepest level means having a relationship with You. Whatever that means, I want it. Lead me in that path continually. In Jesus name, amen." |

If that prayer expresses the sincere desire and commitment of your heart, and you have prayed this prayer or told God in your own words about how you feel, then you are indeed entering into a relationship with God. It won't all be smooth sailing, but one thing's for sure, God will be with You. Our study, "The Truth of the Spotted Leopard" discusses more about the process of entering a relationship with God. To grow as a follower of Jesus, pray to Him daily–sharing with Him the things that concern you as you would share with a friend, asking Him to guide you as you make decisions, and seeking His blessing on all your relationships. In addition, making a commitment to spend some time prayerfully reading the Bible each day is a wonderful way to get to know God better and to learn more about His plan for your life. Don't be impatient, it won't all come together in a few days.
You've got the rest of your life to grow with God. Invite Him to
share life with you. It's an adventure.
