Experience LifeIf you would like to accept Jesus and His death for you–to be forgiven of your sins, have the assurance of eternal life, be set free from sin's power to control your life, and be empowered to live a life that will attract others to God and eternal life, you can simply tell God about your desire right now. A sample prayer might be:"Dear God, I sense my need for You and for all that has been offered to me through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I want my life to be freed of past sins, and set free to live a life that will honor You and bless others. Today I accept Your gift. Help me rely upon Your empowerment to live this new life. In Jesus name, Amen." You may not feel a lot different after praying such a prayer. But if you prayed it sincerely, something has changed. A new life has begun. Ask God each day to help you live the new life as a follower of Jesus Christ. And spend some time each day prayerfully reading the Bible. If you do that faithfully, God will be with you every step of the journey that has a guaranteed ending. |
